Some Background information

I find that it is an expression of feelings conveyed through flowers and materials arranged together. It is a form of relaxation of the mind and enjoyment being able to bring happiness to people after creating something from your heart.
A simple conversation with a friend sparked off the desire to take my interest a step further in pursuing a flower arrangement course. We shared with each other how we had similar interests on flower arrangement and to run our own business. We decided then to enroll in a school to learn the basic skills. We believed strongly that with proper techniques of arranging flowers, we would be able to convey our feelings into each arrangement and bring happiness to everyone who received them.
After some research online, we found Nobleman, school of floral design. They gave us a trial design lesson of round basic form. During the lesson, we learnt about the basic forms, techniques and how to use foam including methods to cut and handle fresh flowers. We enjoyed ourselves thoroughly learning from the school, so we decided to continue to learn the rest of the 10 basic floral forms which consist of Horizontal, Symmetrical, Asymmetrical, Invert-T, Crescent, Cone, Fan Shape, Line and Parallel System.
Mid way through the course, we decided to continue to hone our skills and applied for the full professional course. In the professional course, the following modules are taught.
  • Intermediate Floral Craft & Design
  • Wedding Floral Design Technique
  • Festive & Occasion Floral Design
  • Creative Technique & Design Element
  • Fundamental of Color
  • Color Management
  • Bridal Car Design & Hand-on session
  • Product Knowledge
  • Product Management

    Welcome to Shana’s Floral.

This blog will showcase my flower arrangements done by me and how much it brings joy to make someone’s day.

The road was not easy and it was full of up and downs. Many bloopers had happened along the way and every arrangement had its moments.

My passion for flowers started many years back as I love flowers. I like to create something from my hands and it can bring joy and the smile to someone who holds the final product. The simple thank you from the person will just make your day.

I had been working for past 8 years as admin/sales coordinator and decided to embark on this journey by using flowers to express feelings is something I feel its more meaningful in life.
