DEALING with INSULT….Lord
I had not been writing much due to I gave birth in Sept 2011 and time just fly back when recovering and trying to be a good mom to my little one. Well will like to share this as a forwarded mail from my dad. I think its really nice one :)
*************************************************
The Lord explained how to handle insult and maintain compassion. One day Lord was walking through a village. A very angry and rude young man came up and began insulting him. "You have no right teaching others," he shouted. "You are as stupid as everyone else. You are nothing but a fake."
Lord was not upset by these insults. Instead he asked the young man "Tell me, if you buy a gift for someone, and that person does not take it, to whom does the gift belong?"
The man was surprised to be asked such a strange question and answered, "It would belong to me, because I bought the gift."
The Lord smiled and said, "That is correct. And it is exactly the same with your anger. If you become angry with me and I do not get insulted, then the anger falls back on you. You are then the only one who becomes unhappy, not me. All you have done is hurt yourself."
"If you want to stop hurting yourself, you must get rid of your anger and become loving instead. When you hate others, you yourself become unhappy. But when you love others, everyone is happy."
The young man listened closely to these wise words of the Lord. "You are right, o Enlightened One, "he said. "Please teach me the path of love. I wish to become your follower."
The Lord answered kindly, "Of course. I teach anyone who truly wants to learn. Come with me."
If you are right then there is no need to get angry
And if you are wrong then you don't have any right to get angry.
Patience with family is love,
Patience with others is respect,
Patience with self is confidence
and
Patience with GOD is faith.
Never Think Hard about PAST,
It brings Tears...
Don't Think more about FUTURE,
It brings Fears...
Live this Moment with a Smile,
It brings Cheers.!!!!
Every test in our life makes us bitter or better,
Every problem comes to make us or break us,
Choice is our whether we become victim or victorious !!!
Search a beautiful heart not a beautiful face.
Beautiful things are not always good
but good things are always beautiful.
Remember me like pressed flower in your Notebook.
It may not be having any fragrance
but will remind you of my existence forever in your life.
Do you know, why God created gaps between fingers?
So that someone who is special to you, comes and fills those gaps by holding your hands forever.

Project Sunshine
Thanks to Mentor June to let me help out yesterday on her school project for Teachers' Day. These were made for the school and it was quite fun to help out a good cause. We will be launching Project Sunshine by end of the year and hope people will come and support disabled kids to have a job! Now in the midst of planning and we hope we can launch this project end of the year. Currently Mentor June is teaching the kids from Grace Orchard School to do simple flower arrangement and hope one day they will be able to do all these beautiful creations on their own and give them a new lease of life that being disable dont mean that they cannot work, just need that chance to proof themselves.

Website Hosting Checklist – How To Find The Right Provider
Choosing a website host is an important decision. You want a host that is affordable. However, you also want a website host that offers the features and functions you need. Here’s a quick checklist to make sure you’re finding the right provider.
Is their control panel user friendly? Many hosts offer free demonstrations or tours. Take advantage of these to make sure it’s a control panel that makes sense and is easy to use.
Building your own site or looking for a website builder too? Some website hosts offer site building tools. These can be wonderfully useful if you’re not interested in getting into the technological side of building a website. However, if you are building your own website using any number of software programs or languages, make sure the host has FTP transfer. This is the system you’ll use to upload your web pages to your host’s server.
Can you upload your files easily? Some website hosts are only compatible with certain file types. Make sure your website builder of choice works with your host before you pay for their services.
Are they big enough for your needs? Look for data space, bandwidth and file size limitations. You don’t need to go crazy however a host does need to accommodate your current needs and give you some room to grow.
Server reliablity. Occasional downtime is expdected however it should be rare and you should be forewarned when the servers are going to be down. Ideally, your host’s server should be up and running 99% of the time.
Security. If you’re doing business online then security is a must. Even if you’re not doing business online, you’ll want to do everything you can to protect your website from hackers. A secure host is essential.
Features and functions. What do you need your website to have? Do you need a shopping cart, email or autoresponders? Do you need to be able to sell advertising? Do you want analytic and reporting functions to track traffic and website visitor behavior? Make sure your website host has all the features and functions you need before you sign up and transfer your domain.
User reviews. This is the last thing to look at once you’ve narrowed down yoru choices and before you compare price. Make sure the company has a solid reputation in the industry. There are a lot of resellers out there, you also want to make sure you’re dealing with an acutal hosting company and not a reseller – you’ll get a better price and better customer support.
Finally, it’s time to compare price. If a website host meets all of the above criteria and fits your budget, you’ve found a good company. There are many wonderful website hosts out there. Spend a bit of time researching based on your needs and you can’t go wrong.

Develop a Positive Money Mindset
How you think about money is the single most important factor that determines whether you are wealthy or not. So, if you want more money in your life it is essential that you develop a positive money mindset.
However, many of us are taught to think negatively about money. We're told things like "money is the root of all evil," and "money doesn't grow on trees." No wonder we have such a difficult time thinking positively about money! You may have even been taught that rich people are greedy and as a result are subconsciously avoiding wealth and missing out on the great opportunities having money can provide.
As long as you hold on to negative and incorrect beliefs about money, you will never create the wealth you desire or deserve.
To change your money mindset, you must first recognize that money is not good or bad by itself. It is just a tool. In fact, money is more often used to do good than bad. Think about the wonderful charities that have been able to help people all around the world when they are given large donations of money. Appreciate all the good that money is used for. It is important part of life and is used to make positive changes in the world. Money should be sought after, not avoided.
Recognize that money is abundant. When you were young, you may have been told by your parents that money doesn't grow on trees. If you're holding onto that belief now, your own mindset could be holding you back from attracting money. Money may not grow on trees, but there is an abundant amount of it for everyone, including you. However, if you believe that money is scarce, that belief will keep it far away from you.
Giving money away is another way you can develop a positive money mindset. Wanting to hang onto every cent you have is a sign of a stingy mindset and reinforces the idea that there is not enough of it. Giving reinforces the concept of abundance.
Finally, be happy for those who are successful and have money. We often remember being told that those who have money are greedy and are tempted to think negatively about them. In fact, the opposite is usually true. Rich people often accumulate their wealth by sharing what they have with others and believing in the idea of abundance.
When someone else has money, don't resent their success. If you have feelings of jealousy, that will only hold you back from achieving your own wealth and success. Instead, be happy for them and remember that there is enough wealth for you too, and your turn will come.
By making these changes in how you think about money, you will be on your way to developing a positive money mindset. Once you begin thinking about money in a positive way, you will be on the path to achieving your own wealth.

Never Ever Give UP!
I'm not good with words
Quote Taken from Forwarded EmailsBut I am inspired by the picture:It doesn't matter what problems you are facing right nowWhatever challenges you are confrontingPlease remember one thing…NEVER GIVE UPWhat matters is not how many times you fallBut rising up every time you fall andNever ever give up!You are not swallowed up as yetBut it seems you will be soon if and only ifYou give upSo go aheadStretch your handsTake strong hold of the problemThat is waiting to swallow you upAnd…………….SQUEEZE it.
My Mentor June Tew always tell me never give up on my dreams, it had been a hard and lonely road to make business work. I am glad I am starting on my blog and slowly hopefully I can revamp my shopping cart to give a better experience in service and more creations to my clients.
Check this out! I had benefited alot from this and what i have today is credited to her.

WSQ Diploma in Floristry Management - YES!
Background Info : http://app2.wda.gov.sg/wsq/Contents/contents.aspx?contid=971
Can download more information from here too http://app2.wda.gov.sg/data/ImgCont/971/Floristry%20WSQ.pdf
The Floristry Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ) is a national skills training system developed by the Singapore Workforce Development Agency (WDA) and the Floristry industry. The Floristry WSQ maps out the skills needed for a Floristry-related occupation and the training required for entry into the Floristry industry. The system also provides useful career pathways and facilitates mobility and progression within the industry.
I have attended the Diploma Course in Nobleman School.
Thanks to my buddy Janelle, without her pushing I don’t think I will ever will have another diploma certificate. Especially out of school since 2001, I didn’t really want to study again, but after all these, I miss school and the friendship bond that I had over the past 9 months through this course.
After yesterday exams, I feel so light and what I have work for during the past 9 months just seems so impossible yet really so happy.
Will miss the school but I hope there is more opportunities to work with school and continue making better arrangement and keep on improving my skills as the days goes by.
I can only thank God and family and friends who had been supporting me on this course. It is really not easy and countless of sleepless nights and tiring days. Finally to able to get the certificate soon.. hopefully in September, i think I cant stop my tears of joy.

Last 3 Modules Exams Next week! Eeeks!
Finally my last 3 modules exams are just next week!
After Tuesday I will know whether I will get my diploma certificate in Nov 2011.
It’s really nice to know that my 3rd batch friends are still bonding together and it will be our first outing on Friday night!
Its Kungfu panda night and dinner.
I will post pictures or wait for one of our ladies to send me some.
I had started another blog since I can’t add another page of my soft toys and crafts. Limited to 10 pages.
Not to limit my creations, another blog had been set up! Bear with the emptiness but it will be fill up soon.
http://shanacraft.blogspot.com/
My main focus will still be arranging flowers from time to time and freelancing when I have a chance.
It’s something I wanted to do for a long time and just hope to find some time to make my dream come true.
Wish me luck for my exams!

I am quite lost for words actually and will always treasure this photo and a lovely doggy bear organic wool filled toy. Very unique as i never seen it before and using organic materials :)
Here is a picture of the whole class. Sadly one classmate cant join us.

Saturday 9th April 2011 is one day I can’t forget.
It’s a day I had dreaded since I hear I didn’t pass my demo presentation on 30th March 2011. Honestly, I cried like crazy, Roy (my hubby) had hard time to comfort me, and also Janelle who was so worried for me, but I can’t control myself. I hated myself for failing but deep down I know I didn’t perform very well on 26th March 2011.
I was too nervous and very tired out since the Thursday 24th March 2011 retail presentation, I was really lack of rest and didn’t take enough time to consider my demo properly, and just went ahead being over confident that I can just pass. But after reflection on my own, I think the failure was quite expected for my performance. It’s not easy to take it in but I guess we just have to accept that we can’t have everything in life the way we wanted it.
The negative feedbacks were eating me up inside but I felt very unfair and very low morale, I didn’t want to go for the demo retake even, but since I walk this path and need to take the humble pie for retest, I didn’t let my pride step in the way. I really thank God for Roy to help me to rehearse and everyone in 3rd batch had been so encouraging and asking us not to give up. Those who were praying for me too, I really Thank God for such blessing to have good support from everyone.
Life is never a bed of roses, even it is, there are thorns below.. This is something I always tell myself, I took the negative feelings to create something better. I can’t do it on my own, if I have my way, I will make the same mistakes and not very prepared for the demo on sat. Sometimes in life, eating the humble pie to improve is really tough but it came out with unexpected results. I didn’t expect I will pass and even teacher can comment that I am hidden closet comedian.. It was just so relief that I can even pass, I made some mistakes along the presentation and I can even forget the leave name right in the middle of presentation and trying my best to recall what I said a few moments before. I was still so nervous, but thanks to my 3rd batch who help me to remind me to smile and making me laugh with their funny actions, I am so grateful for the support.
As we coming to the end of the course, I will have wonderful memories of different walks in life friends coming together to support each other for a common goal to pass the diploma course. It’s something can’t be traded or exchange for a lifetime memory.

Diploma in Floristry Management
We are the 3rd batch intake for Nobleman School of Floral Design.
Since September 2009, we were going to school almost every Tuesday, Thursday and Alt Saturdays. The longest break we had was during Christmas and New Year period and Chinese New year period, It was really a good break but another month more I will start to miss school. Though I do hope to finish but the bonds and friendships over the months had been wonderful and will be missed. One thing I would say that I am glad is most of us are quite easy-going and very understanding towards each other strength and weakness.
Which subject I love most during this course in time? I think it will be the time with Gail, though that time for 3 modules was tough but knowing Gail was there for us helps us to pull through the whole 3 modules together. (Off hand I cant remember the name of the modules with Gail but once I have the subject names, I will add them in) Some of the works we did during her time.
The worst subject I dislike? Public speaking + Demo Presentation of a table floral arrangement. Public speaking is one of my worst fears. I hope this Saturday (9th April 2011) I am able to pass that subject, I really don’t feel like going through it but I guess I still have to overcome my fears. It’s whole different experience and something I think I am very weak at.
The rest so far were quite ok, last module that I am taking right now is the blog writing and creations! It’s also one of my favorite subject too. I had revamp my blog and love my fishes.. They always look hungry.. so don’t mind feeding them while you are here visiting my blog. Haha. They will follow your mouse so have so fun giving them abit of exercise after feeding. I hope I can put more creations and more inputs of my floral journey in my life.
Since I have decided to be my own boss, I would hope that it will come true. We went through a retail course of Setting up a retail business. Mr Tan gave us a very realistic view on business in Singapore. First thing will kill a business will be the rental. That is one major expenses that really cause a business to fall. How to overcome is proper planning and good management and the people working for you. He gave a lot of insights and make us more aware of the economical stuff around Singapore. He really open my eyes to other world and be more aware of Singapore GP etc and stuff. I hope one day I can treat him to a meal when I am really my own boss.

Revamping of Blog
One of the last module is doing a blog! Since i had stopped for awhile,so here is the revamp blog! Hope this is much better then my previous one.
The diploma course is going to end soon. By 30th April 2011, i hope i can pass my last 3 modules. I will focus more on redoing a lot of things for my site and hope to bring in more creations and designs.
It had been a rough ride. It was really a crash course since September 2009 until now. Looking back though it was tough but I had made another 11 friends along the way and we bonded so well.. That is God’s blessing to have such wonderful team mates. Of coz there are ups and down along the way but we managed to go through so much together and show support, the memory will last through a lifetime.
Left the last month of classes and hope i can get my diploma certificate. Praying very hard for it. >.< I don’t know what the road might lead us too but I hope each and everyone will able to pursue their dreams. Good Luck to everyone! You all will be missed!
